Healthiest Instant Ramen in 2026: Best Brands, Ratings & Easy Swaps
The healthiest instant ramen of 2026, rated by Trash Panda. See which brands are a Good Choice and what to swap for Maruchan, Shin, and Buldak.
Almond milk is one of the most scanned and searched-for products in the Trash Panda app, and for good reason. With so many brands on the shelves, the quality can vary a lot, making it tough to know which one to grab. Some are loaded with additives, while others are simple, clean, and nutrient-rich.
We’ve broken it all down so you know exactly what to look for (and what to avoid) when shopping for almond milk. From confusing ingredients like gums and carrageenan, to “barista blends,” to our favorite clean-label picks, here’s your go-to guide. Check out our full shopping list in the app for all of our favorite almond milks:

Carrageenan is a common thickener in dairy-free milks, but it’s not one we recommend. Research has linked it to inflammation and digestive issues, which is why we flag it in Trash Panda. The simple fix? Choose almond milk without it.
You’ve probably seen gums like cellulose gum, guar gum, and xanthan gum listed on ingredient labels. They’re used to thicken liquids, keep everything evenly mixed, and create that “smooth” texture.
Gums are a hallmark of more heavily processed foods, and can lead to digestive issues like gas and bloating. If your goal is to keep your diet simple and minimally processed, it’s worth swapping them out for cleaner options when possible.
Those “barista” almond milks you see at the store? They’re designed to foam and froth beautifully for lattes, but they often come with a tradeoff: extra oils and additives. Many include seed oils, which are high in omega-6 fatty acids. Consuming too many omega-6s can throw off your balance of fats and contribute to inflammation. If you don’t need the café-style foam, you’ll be better off with a simpler option.
The best almond milks keep it simple. Look for short ingredient lists without gums, carrageenan, or unnecessary oils.
Here are a few Trash Panda–approved favorites:

Made with just filtered water and almonds, this one is as clean as it gets. Plus, it uses more almonds than most brands, making it creamier and more nutrient-dense.

Organic, unsweetened, and free from gums or carrageenan. A solid option if you want a simple, clean-label almond milk that’s widely available.

Certified organic and made with only filtered water, almonds, and sea salt. No gums, no fillers, just a straightforward, clean choice that’s easy to love.
Almond milk can be a clean, nutritious swap for dairy, but the ingredients matter. Use Trash Panda to scan before you buy, and you’ll never be left guessing. We’ll help you spot the hidden additives so you can find the good stuff, every time.
