About RXBAR

RXBAR is a protein-bar brand known for printing its short, whole-food ingredient list right on the front of the wrapper — typically dates to bind, egg whites for protein, and nuts, with no added sugar. Launched in 2013 out of a suburban-Chicago basement, it built its identity around minimalist labeling and later expanded into nut butters and a Nut Butter & Oat line.

RXBAR's parent, Chicago Bar Co., was acquired by Kellogg Company in 2017. When Kellogg split in 2023, the global snacking business (which includes RXBAR) was renamed Kellanova. Mars, Inc. completed its acquisition of Kellanova on December 11, 2025, making Mars the current owner.
