Founded in 2012 and based in Naples, Florida, the brand built its reputation on short, clean ingredient lists with no added sugar, positioning itself as a real-food alternative to conventional jerky.

Founder-led and family-operated; co-founders Pete Maldonado and Rashid Ali remain co-CEOs. The company took a minority private-equity investment in 2022 but has not been acquired.
