Mondelēz International is launching Ritz Gluten Free Crackers, the first gluten-free version of Ritz. The company announced it on October 19, 2026. The crackers reach Walmart and Albertsons this month and roll out to retailers nationwide in February 2027.

Fans "have been asking for a gluten free version for years," said Olympia Portale, who heads savory portfolio strategy at Mondelēz. The launch follows Goldfish's first gluten-free crackers, announced in August, and a gluten-free Cheez-It from Mars earlier in 2026.

Gluten-free opens Ritz up to people who can't eat wheat. It doesn't make it a healthier cracker.

What we know so far

It comes in one flavor, Original, in an 8-ounce box. The suggested retail price is $4.49.

Mondelēz calls it a "certified gluten free version" of Ritz. It hasn't said which organization certifies it.

Mondelēz also says the crackers have no artificial colors or flavors and taste the same as Ritz Original. It hasn't published the ingredient list or said what replaces wheat flour.

What it means if you eat gluten-free

Regular Ritz crackers are made with wheat flour, so look for "Gluten Free" on the box before you buy. Once it's on shelves, scan it with Trash Panda to see the full ingredient list and how it rates.
