About Trash Panda
Trash Panda is an app that helps you better understand ingredients labels to find better quality food. The app launched in May of 2021, and is a start-up owned by the parent company, Slytrunk.
Slytrunk is a small team of digital experts focused on developing remarkable software products with some incredible partners - such as the NFL, the World Surf League, and the Relevent Sports Group.
Employees at Trash Panda and Slytrunk work remotely across the US from Anchorage to Austin, but the product team is based in our Encinitas, CA workshop. We’re looking for an intern to join us either remotely or in-person for 8 weeks this summer, helping to create content for Trash Panda’s brand partnerships, blog, and social media channels (Instagram + TikTok).
Job Description
As a Content Creator and Social Media Intern at Trash Panda, you'll have a direct impact on the success our start-up, and the unique opportunity to share ideas and create content that you’re passionate about, while learning about the different roles for an app startup.
We'll need your help in creating content for brand partnerships, our blog, and social media channels (Instagram + TikTok).
This is your chance to have meaningful responsibilities and direct, hands-on experience in building the brand for an exciting new digital product with the direction of experienced product professionals and an unparalleled engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
Build awareness and excitement for Trash Panda through managing content across our social platforms with a focus on audience engagement and growth
Assist in creating and fulfilling partnerships with natural food brands, influencers, and stores
Gather feedback and data from our partners to help shape future collaborations
Research and evaluate the marketing landscape and opportunities in the space
Basic Requirements
Self-motivated with a positive attitude - you're a team player who is willing to chip in and help wherever needed in a startup-like environment
Curious and excited to learn and contribute to Trash Panda’s success
Strong ability and interest in solving problems and confidence in sharing thoughts and ideas for content creation and marketing opportunities
Excellent communication skills
Must be available to work remotely or from our Encinitas Office, working around 20 hours a week total
Experience or interest in health and nutrition a plus
18 years of age or older
Must be able to work in the US
