Trash Panda is an app that helps you better understand ingredient labels to find better quality food. The app launched in May of 2021, and is a start-up owned by the parent company, Slytrunk.
Slytrunk is a small team of digital experts focused on developing remarkable software products with some incredible partners - such as the NFL, the NBA, and Fan Capital.
Employees at Trash Panda and Slytrunk work remotely across the US from Anchorage to Austin, with Trash Panda leadership based in San Diego, CA. We’re looking for an intern to join us remotely to help create content for Trash Panda’s brand partnerships, blog, and social media channels.

Job Description

Are you passionate about creating engaging content and making an impact in a start-up environment? As a Marketing Intern at Trash Panda, you'll play a key role in shaping the voice and presence of our brand.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate on creating compelling content for brand partnerships, our blog, and social media platforms (Instagram + TikTok).
Contribute ideas and execute strategies to grow our audience and increase engagement.
Learn about the inner workings of an app startup, from content creation to brand-building strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management: Build awareness and excitement for Trash Panda by managing content across social platforms, with a strong focus on audience engagement and growth.
Partnership Development: Assist in creating and executing partnerships with natural food brands, influencers, and stores to amplify our reach.
Feedback and Insights: Gather and analyze feedback and data from partners to inform and shape future collaborations.
Market Research: Research and evaluate the marketing landscape to identify trends and opportunities that align with our mission.

Basic Requirements

Self-motivated and positive attitude: A team player who thrives in a collaborative, startup-like environment and is always willing to contribute where needed.
Eager to learn: Curiosity and enthusiasm to grow, develop skills, and contribute to Trash Panda’s mission to empower users in making healthier food choices.
Creative problem solver: Confident in brainstorming, sharing ideas, and identifying marketing opportunities to create impactful content.
Strong communication skills: Able to communicate effectively and professionally, whether collaborating with the team or engaging with our audience.
Availability: Must be able to work ~20 hours per week
Bonus: Experience or interest in health, nutrition, or food-related topics is a significant plus.
Eligibility: Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the US.
