Artificial sweetener commonly used as a sweetener and in a wide variety of diet foods and drinks. It is 300 to 400 times sweeter than sugar and manufactured by oxidizing the chemicals o-toluene sulfonamide phthalic anhydride. It can also be found in toothpaste and mouthwash medicines, vitamins and pharmaceuticals.
